Being located along a major flyway for several species of birds, including all types of waterfowl, white pelicans, hawks & hummingbirds, makes Fulton, Texas a natural for birders.

In addition to the migrant species above, Fulton is a year-round home to several species of shorebirds, wading birds, gulls and brown pelicans.

Bird watchers can add several species to their life lists just by driving around the area and especially by taking a tour boat out to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge where one can see the endangered Whopping Cranes and their young.
