Aransas County Will Begin Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) for Homeowners Affected by Hurricane Harvey
The Honorable C. H. Burt Mills, Jr. announced that the County will soon launch its Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) program. This program, scheduled to go into effect Monday, November 6th, was developed in coordination with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which authorizes the County to collect disaster-related debris from residential properties impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Through the program, County debris removal contractors will be able to enter residential property to remove storm generated debris, provided the County has received a signed Right-of-Entry (ROE) agreement from the homeowner. In order to qualify, homeowners must:
- Meet with a County PPDR coordinator at one of the locations below to provide proof of homeownership and complete a Right-of-Entry (ROE) form
- Sign a hold harmless agreement to assure that the federal government, its respective employees, agents, contractors, and subcontractors are indemnified and held harmless as to any claims arising from debris removal
- Provide a copy of valid Texas ID/driver license matching the property address
- Remit any insurance proceeds already received for work similar to that to be completed by the County
